- Log in to your computer

- Set up your Outlook email
- Access Microsoft Outlook under the Start menu on Windows or your Applications folder on MacOS. When you open it for the first time, the Welcome to Outlook setup will guide you through configuring your email.
- Set up your voicemail
- Visit the IET website at https://servicehub.ucdavis.edu/servicehub?id=it_catalog_content&sys_id=526d2dd11bd798103f4286ae6e4bcb49 for guides on how to set up your voicemail, use your desktop phone, forward calls, retrieve messages and more.
- Protect sensitive information
- View the campus guidelines for storing and handling sensitive data such as student records, health records or personally identifiable information at cloud.ucdavis.edu.
- Access resources from off-campus
- Connect to the COE VPN (https://kb.ucdavis.edu/?id=9438) to access campus resources such as printers or remote desktops, and also paywall protected content, like journal articles, that require a UC Davis subscription.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi
- The campus Wi-Fi, eduroam, is available in most buildings and public spaces on campus. Once connected to eduroam, you can enjoy secure Wi-Fi access at UC Davis, other educational institutions and hotspots worldwide. Connect to it using username@ucdavis.edu along with your computing account passphrase.
- Access to Box shares
- Use Box for cloud storage and collaboration with your team by opening Box on your computer or logging into ucdavis.box.com with your UC Davis email and computing account passphrase.
- Get acquainted with the university's productivity tools
- Customize your Zoom account at ucdavis.zoom.us to connect with colleagues on video conference calls.

Access to standard software is already included with Microsoft Office, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Box. Contact us if you have additional software needs.
