- Instructional Computer Lab Requirements for Course
Instructor reaches out to specify what's needed for a lab/course that's using an existing COE IT computer lab.
Get Started: Complete the Instructional Lab Software Request form or click the Request Service button for other requests. If urgent, call 530-754-3210.
Fulfillment: 10 business days if install can be automated, system configuration change not required, and hardware/OS does not need to change. Otherwise dependent on requirements and available resources.
- Instructional Computer Lab Reservation
Reserve an instructional computer lab for instructional use.
Important Note: Priority for scheduling laboratories at specific times goes to classes with lab or discussion sections during those times. Blocking out times for general access will be superseded by a scheduled lab or discussion section. Conflicts between different classes will be resolved on a first-come, first-served basis so get your reservations in early!
Reservations submitted before the end of the previous quarter will be rejected (I.e., no reservations for Fall 2022 until Fall 2021 has completed).
Get Started:For course reservations, reserve the room through the registrar or ad-hoc requests, click Request Service to submit your request. Review the calendar links below to check for availability. If urgent, call 530-754-3210.Visit https://intranet.engineering.ucdavis.edu/technology/instructional-labs to view the calendars for Academic Surge Building, rooms 1044 and 1116.Fulfillment: 3 business days for confirmation of reservation request.
- Instructional Computer Labs (support)
Physical or virtual computers for use by students, instructors, and TAs for the purpose of forwarding the academic mission. Each instructional program has different needs and different capabilities. Functionality is consistent where marginal cost is neutral.
Fulfillment: Automated access based on role (IOR, student), otherwise 2 business days (after authorization). Software and other capabilities are defined on the Intranet, additional capabilities must be requested through the Instructional Computer Lab Requirements for Course service.
Instructional Technology & Design
- Instructional Computer Lab (new or refreshed lab)
Set up new or refresh infrastructure to serve instructional needs.
Fulfillment: 5 business days response time to schedule consultation meeting. Estimate given after consultation is complete, which may be multiple meetings.
