It is the mission of Academic Personnel to:

-
Serve as a resource for information and policy interpretation and training, and guide faculty and administrators in the implementation of policies that impact on the appointment and advancement of academic personnel.
-
Assist academic units in recruiting and retaining a diverse faculty, and in practicing cross-cultural understanding beyond simple compliance through implementation of best practices.
-
Provide professional development and mentoring activities that promote academic success by providing faculty with the skills necessary for all stages of their careers, and working with academic units in the creation of their own development activities.
