Academic Leaves of Absence

Effective September 2025, in accordance with the UC Davis Good Standing Policy for Academics, Faculty must be in Good Standing to be eligible for sabbatical and professional development leaves. Before submitting a leave request, please ensure the following:

  1. You are up to date on UC mandatory trainings
  2. You have submitted a sabbatical report for all previous sabbaticals
  3. You have submitted all Annual Certifications
