- Software License Server Hosting
Host and maintain approved engineering software network licenses for groups of researchers.

Student teams support - software licenses, license servers (excluding hardware support).
Fulfillment: 5-8 business days.

Research-Specific Computing & Applications
- HPC/GPU server procurement (custom - not part of HPC2)
Consultation with PI and Vendors to determine requirements for HPC/GPU servers, including but not limited to: power (cable/plugs,PDUs), reserving space, installed OS, warranty and service agreements, remote management, networking, backup/disaster recovery for the storage on the server, and security compliance.

Consultation with PI and Vendors to determine requirements for cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to: public and private cloud options, procurement, configuration, management, networking, backup/disaster recovery, and security compliance.

- Research Linux Server
Supported Linux distros (Ubuntu and Redhat). Identify workload/software/services to be provided/requirements, spec out a system, identify location/rackspace/power/cooling/networking, order, ship, secure setup/configuration (networking, account management (AD/SSSD), general security).

- Research Offsite Data Backup
Offsite backup of server-based research data (purchasing space, installing software, checking data integrity, archival when project complete)

Field research support, e.g., setting up network connectivity to remote sites

- Research Server Procurement
COE IT will assist faculty and researchers in the procurement of a custom server. Request quotes, submit purchase order on behalf of group, shepherd through procurement process including Small Business First and other policies.
