Bio

I can help with telling impactful news stories.

Matt Marcure is a content specialist who produces written content for the College of Engineering, focusing on stories that come out of the Biomedical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering departments. Before joining the college in February 2023, he reported on science, culture and the intermingling of the two for TechCrunch, UC Davis and Sacramento-based publications like Sactown Magazine.

Random fact about me

I recorded two albums on a prehistoric flip phone as a teenager. The kicker: I released both of them online, and I’m sure they can still be found somewhere in the digital void, in all their distorted, naive glory.

Favorite books

The book that compelled me to be a writer is Franz Kafka’s “The Metamorphosis and Other Stories,” but the story I think about the most often is “Dune” by Frank Herbert.
