CEE Distinguished Professor Jay Lund Receives Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water Management and Protection
The award recognizes scientists, inventors and research organizations around the world who contribute the sustainable availability of water and help alleviate global water scarcity. He will receive a $133,000 cash prize and be honored at the award’s forthcoming ninth annual ceremony. [more…]
 
CHE Assistant Professor Ambarish Kulkarni Receives Graduate Advising and Mentoring Award
The inaugural award recognizes an outstanding faculty member in a graduate group at UC Davis who shows commitment to advising and/or mentoring graduate students. The award is part of a new Graduate Studies initiative to promote positive advising and mentor experiences. [more…]

Bainer Hall Elevator Modernization Begins August 24
Campus facilities will begin modernizing the elevators in Bainer Hall on Monday, August 24 with a projected finish date of Monday, October 5. Only one elevator will be down at any given time. Contact Dave Griffiths at dgrif@ucdavis.edu for questions.

Engineering Buildings to Require Keycard Access
Beginning September 15, Kemper and Bainer will require electronic keycard access and access with physical keys will be phased out. More details will be provided in the upcoming weeks. Contact Roland Faller at rfaller@ucdavis.edu for questions.
 
International Travel Must Be Reviewed by Campus Committee

Campus Provides Additional Updates on Fall 2020
Campus has outlined its planning and preparations for fall quarter [link], an updated Campus Ready plan [link] and a comprehensive FAQ for undergraduates [link]. These websites will be updated frequently based on new mandates or guidance from state and county public health officials.
