The College of Engineering’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is hosting a welcome event on Thursday, October 19, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in 3102 Ghausi Hall. We hope you will join us to learn more about the committee and projects we are working on and to help us develop this year’s priorities.

Who should come?

• Anyone interested in learning more about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the college
• Anyone interested in learning more about COE’s DEI Committee and the types of projects we are working on
• Folks on the COE DEI Committee or on a department DEI committees
• Folks interested in being able to have more of a dialogue on DEI (whether you are new to the subject or not)

What will we do?

• Introductions
• Overview of COE DEI committee and subcommittee work
• Dialogue on DEI efforts in college and what is needed
• Planning for upcoming year including how to develop more DEI connections across different programs/areas/committees in the college

What if I can’t stay the whole time?

• No worries. We welcome you to come for as long as you can.
