Engineering Research Stories for General Audiences

DAVIS, Calif.; Nov. 15, 2017 – The UC Davis Office of Strategic Communications and the College of Engineering’s communications team want to hear about research stories that could be communicated to external audiences. Our tools include news releases, blog posts, web features and social media, among others. We can also share content through channels run by the College, departments and research centers.

Our stories on research are often (but not always) tied to a peer-reviewed publication or conference presentation. Ideally, we would like to hear about a discovery or piece of research before it is officially published (for example, when you receive an acceptance notice from a journal or conference).

Stories should have elements to appeal to a general reader with no specialized training in engineering or science, but who has an interest in science or technology.

If you have a story idea to share, please contact Andy Fell, Aditi Risbud Bartl or Bonnie Dickson. We look forward to learning more about your work!
